Short Safari - 5 Days
Day 1 Tarangire National Park
Meet and greet at the airport by your German-speaking driver guide. If you arrive very early you can stop at Rivertree Country Lodge to freshen up and have breakfast. Then we start direct to Tarangire National Park for a full day safari. Picnic lunch in the park.
The Tarangire National Park is one of the most beautiful game reserves in Tanzania. An area of 2600 square kilometers and an average height of 1100 meters is home to some animal species that can only rarely or not at all be observed in other parks in northern Tanzania.
For example the gerenuk, the small kudu, oryx and eland and the rarest of all antelope species: the great kudu. The park also offers big cats, giraffes, buffalo, but above all: elephants, elephants, elephants (sometimes herds of over 200 animals !!!!).

Day 2 Ngila Estate
Morning safari in Tarangire National Park.
Lunch at a local restaurant in Karatu. Afternoon visit to Ngila Coffee Estate, one of the most beautifully located coffee farms in Tanzania.
On over 100 hectares with 150,000 coffee trees, more than 120 tons of the best Arabica highland coffee can be harvested annually. In addition, animals from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area continue to roam the site on a regular basis. The farm is owned by the Vera Stücker, who continues to improve the quality of the coffee with a lot of love and various investments - e.g. in an efficient irrigation system as well as in water-saving and modern processing technology. Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater
This day is dedicated to the discovery of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. At lunchtime, a picnic awaits you in the park.
The Ngorongoro Crater on the edge of the Serengeti was created by the collapse of a volcanic cone.
The crater floor is 1700 meters above sea level and has a diameter of 20 kilometers. An almost unbelievable abundance of animals can be found all year round on an area of 26,400 hectares, perfectly protected by crater walls up to 600 meters high. Bernhard Grizmek and his son Michael are buried on the edge of what is certainly the most famous animal reserve in the world. In 2010 this natural amphitheater was named a World Heritage Site.
It is the land of the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and finally: rhino!

Day 4 Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning safari in the area around Lake Ndutu.
Lunch either in the camp or as a picnic. In the afternoon we drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
In contrast to the traditional national parks, human habitation is not completely banned in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This vast area (more than 8,599 square kilometers) is a piece of Africa in which life as it existed hundreds of years ago is still lived today. Here humans and animals share a common habitat in peaceful coexistence.
A special highlight between January and March are the large herds of wildebeest and zebra that gather in the area around Lake Ndutu to give birth. Since this area - although ecologically clearly already assigned to the Serengeti - administratively still belongs to the NCA, we are also allowed to drive off-road here and thus come particularly close to the animals.
But the Ngorongoro Conservation Area also has a lot to offer during the rest of the year.
The earliest prehistoric traces were discovered in the Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind. A small museum tells the story of Louis and Mary Leakey who are responsible for most of the excavations and discoveries of the hominin fossils in Olduvai Gorge.
In the Maasai villages, away from all occidental influences, the inhabitants lead a life in the rhythm of their ancestors.
And finally there are geological curiosities such as the Shifting Sands, a black shifting dune, or the Nasera Rock, an 80 meter high granite monolith.

Day 5 Arusha
Transfer to Arusha for your return flight to Germany or to the flight to Zanzibar for further vacation days on the beach.
