Golf and Safari

Day 1&2  – Arrival / Golf Safari House

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be personally greeted by the Managing Director of our Tanzanian sister company. Transfer to Golf Safari House. Dinner and overnight at the Golf Safari House (all in).


The following day is devoted to golf. The 18 hole golf course is up to international Standards. Relax afterwards at the pool of your comfortable accomodation.

Golf Safari House
Golf Safari House is a charming 10-room boutique hotel set in a private game reserve. Dolly Wildlife Estate. The hotel is in close proximity with the Kiliamjaro Airport, which makes it the ideal starting point for your safari. The rooms are tastefully furnished as well as the central one with a pool and a bar inviting you to relax. There is also a cozy fireplace in front of the house from where you can enjoy the romantic sunset over the distant mountains called the Pare Usambara and Blue Mountains.  

Day 3 – Arusha National Park

Full day safari in the Arusha National Park. Picnic Lunch in the great outdoors. Dinner and overnight again at the Golf Safari House.

This small (only 137km2 ) but exremely picturesque park is relatively high – between 1500 and 4566 meters and has a large biodiversity. The park is surrounded by the hills of the Mount Meru, an inactive volcano. The Ngurdoto Crater and beautiful Momella Lakes.


Day 4&5 – Tarangire National Park

Departure after breakfast towards Tarangire National Park. A tarmac road leads you first through Arusha and finally into the park where the full-day safari starts. Picnic lunch in the great outdoors. Dinner and overnight at Swala Camp.

The Taragire National Park is one oft he most beautiful animal reserves in Tanzania. Covering an area of 2,600 km2 and an average elevation of 1100m, some species of animals are found that are rarely or not observed in other parks in the north of Tanzania. For example the Gerenuk, the small kudu, Oryx and Eland antelope and the rarest of all antelopes: the great Kudu. Late summer and autumn are a great time to visit the Tarangire, which is full of animals: big cats, giraffes, buffaloes and of course elephants (sometimes herds of over 200 animals!) the special feature oft he flora of the Tarangire are the numerous baobab trees.

Swala Camp
Sanctuary Swala Camp is the remotest and most luxurious camp in a scenic part of the Tarangire National Park. The very spacious and comfortably furnished guest tents stand under tall acacia trees. Two thatched main buildings under an old baobab elevated on platforms accommodate the elegant dining lounge, bar and small library. All 12 tent pavilions open to the front with their own verandas which provide a view of the camp's waterhole. Enjoy the experience from your own porch: the atmosphere is unique.

Day 6 – Ngila Coffee Estate

Transfer from Tarangire to Karatu and visit Ngila Coffee Estate, Lunch at Gibbs Farm. Dinner and overnight at The Plantation Lodge.

On over one hundred hectares planted with around 150,000 coffee trees, over 120 tons of the best Arabica highland coffee can be harvested annually. In addition animals from the protected area of the Ngorongoro still regularly roam the farm.

The Meyer family, who love to improve the quality of the coffee, owns the farm. Today, Ngila Coffee Estate with its proven and experienced Tanzanian employees offers a highland coffee that meets the high demands of quality-conscious roasters and coffee lovers, of which you can convince yourself during the subsequent coffee tasting. And at the end of it enjoy some relaxation time at the pool.

The Plantation Lodge
Like a green oasis the Plantation Lodge is nestled in the reddish-brown hillsides amidst the vastness and tranquility of East Africa.
The individually furnished rooms and suites blend harmoniously into the flowering garden.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater

Full day Safari in the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Picknick lunch in the open. Dinner and overnight at The Plantation Lodge.

The Land of the Big Five: Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion and Rhino.

The Ngorongoro crater that is located on the edge of the Serengeti was created by the collapse of a volcanic mountain. The crater floor is 1.700 meters above sea level and has a diameter of about 20 km. On an area of 26.400 ha is found an incredible wealth of animal life, perfectly protected by crater walls that are up to 600 meters high. Bernhard Grzimek and his son Michael are buried on the edge of this probably most famous animal reserve in the world. In 2010 this natural amphitheatre became a world cultural heritage site.

Day 8 – Departure


After breakfast transfer to Arusha and lunch at Shanga River House with a transfer then to Kilimanjaro International airport.
